01Who we are

ShineSnap (shinesnap.com) is responsible for the personal information described in this policy. Contact us at support@shinesnap.com.

02Information we collect

• Account information: when you sign in with Google, we receive your email address, name, profile picture and a Google account identifier.
• Content: the prompts, product details, photos and other files you upload, and the images and copy we create for you.
• Purchase information: the credit packs you buy, amounts, order status and refund status. Payments are handled by Creem; we do not receive or store your full card details.
• Usage and device information: pages you visit, features you use, credit usage, and technical data such as IP address, browser type and device type. We use IP addresses for security, fraud prevention and rate limiting.
• Referral information: how you found us, such as the referring website, campaign parameters and ad click identifiers in the link you used, and any invitation code.
• Communications: messages you send to us, for example support requests and the feedback you give on your results.

03How we use information

Where the law requires a legal basis (for example, under the GDPR), we rely on performing our contract with you, our legitimate interests in operating and securing the Service, your consent where we ask for it, and compliance with legal obligations.

We do not use your content to train AI models, and we do not sell or rent your personal information.

Access to your content is limited. People who operate ShineSnap may view your uploads, prompts, generated images and listing copy when needed to provide support, fix problems, review output quality, and enforce our Acceptable Use Policy.

• To provide the Service: sign you in, create and store your images, keep your credit balance and process orders.
• To keep the Service safe: check prompts and uploads against our Acceptable Use Policy, prevent abuse of free credits, and detect fraud and security problems.
• To support you and send service messages, such as purchase or account notices.
• To understand and improve the Service, using our own first-party usage statistics.
• To meet legal obligations, such as tax and accounting records.

04Who we share information with

We share personal information only with service providers that help us run the Service, and only as needed for their role:

• Google — sign-in with your Google account.
• Creem — payment processing, tax and receipts as merchant of record.
• Cloudflare — website hosting, content delivery, file storage and email routing.
• Third-party AI model providers — to process your prompts and images and return results.
• Our server hosting provider — to run our application and database.
• Authorities or other parties when required by law, to protect our rights or users' safety, or as part of a business transfer such as a merger or acquisition.

05International transfers

Our service providers may process information in countries other than yours, including the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for these transfers, such as standard contractual clauses offered by our providers.

06How long we keep information

We keep your account information and content while your account is active. When you ask us to delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information and content within 30 days, except records we must keep for legal, tax, accounting or fraud-prevention reasons, such as order records.

Security logs are kept for a limited period and then deleted. Records of requests blocked by our content checks, including a short excerpt of the blocked text, are kept for 180 days.

07Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. Email support@shinesnap.com to make a request; we may need to verify your identity. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

08Cookies and local storage

We use a small number of cookies and browser storage items that are needed for the Service to work:

• A short-lived, secure cookie that protects the Google sign-in process.
• A cookie that identifies your device for up to 90 days to prevent abuse of free welcome credits.
• Browser storage that keeps you signed in and remembers settings such as theme.
• Browser storage for our first-party usage statistics, including a random visitor ID and how you arrived at the site. This data stays with us and is not shared with advertising networks. You can clear it at any time in your browser settings.

09Security

We use encryption in transit, access controls and other reasonable measures to protect your information. No system is completely secure, so please use a strong, protected Google account.

10Children

ShineSnap is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

11Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. We will post the new version here with a new "Last updated" date, and notify you by email or on the website if the changes are significant.
